The Varimax centralizes the rainwater harvesting controls, enhancing the system, simplifying the installations and ensuring potable water top-up volumes are kept to a minimum by using an intermediate holding/break tank.
Rainwater is collected and stored in the main rainwater collection tank (A). This is transferred to the Varimax (B) by a small submersible booster pump which is controlled by a level sensor (L1) in the Varimax break tank. The only hardware required to link the Varimax to the rainwater storage tank is a length of MDPE

The Varimax supplements the rainwater harvesting system with mains water during periods of low rainfall. The Varimax combines a break tank with Type AB air-gap and pump to pressurize the rainwater supply main all within one compact unit. The submersible pump is installed inside the break tank to keep the unit as compact and quiet as possible. A water-cooled inverter monitors the system pressure via a pressure transducer and starts and stops the pump gradually, speeding it up as required to meet the demand. This energy efficient form of control ensures smooth operation and eliminates water hammer within the plumbing network.
|The Varimax Duo
The Varimax can house a wide range of pumps sized to suit the application. If two pumps are required, either to meet the demand or provide backup, a Varimax Duo with two separate or interconnected tanks, two pumps and two inverters can be used.

As an option a UV filtration system can be included within a Varimax Duo cabinet.
A pair of particle filters are fitted in parallel on the outlet from the pump and before

UV Article-no RCVU
A clear and simple control panel displays the system pressure, pump speed, power output and operating status. It allows the user to adjust the system pressure with a simple key press and provides fault information. The controls will monitor for lack of water, a poor power supply, overheating and motor overload, it will stop the pump and indicate the cause should a fault occur.
